Part of the advance that ARCAS offers comes from its layered applications that make use of a variety of data, made possible by AI and microcomputing advances that are starting to make such systems affordable, officials said. Leaders compare it to a mobile phone as a kind of plug-and-play platform that can be built into rifles. Working through feedback from ground forces, the company developed the current configuration.
